We Took the Train to Busan…to Make Perfume

In all honesty, I don’t understand why that movie made it seem like getting to Busan was that hard. It was literally just 1 train ride away from Seoul. Anyways, here’s a super cool activity to do while in Busan aside from training for a potential zombie apocalypse like everyone else in that town.

The House of Perfumers by AmorePacific

Location: story A (Busan Haeundae-gu U-dong 1343 3rd floor | 부산 해운대구 구남로 36 3층

Open hours: Tues-Sun 13:00-22:00

Entrance: FREE

Make your own perfume/oil experience: ₩7,000 ($5USD)

  • We did walk in but reservations can be made through NAVER reservation to be on the safe side

Why I thought it was cool:

  • I did not realize some of my favorite k-beauty brands (Sulwhasoo, Etude House, innisfree, Laneige) are actually all under the same parent company/conglomerate
  • I got to smell scents that did not make my head hurt
  • Got to show off the fancy way of smelling stuff (wafting) and acting cool
  • Broke bitch AND material girl activity for only $5USD
  • It’s honestly pretty aesthetic
  • The first floor of this building is a k-beauty store that gives 5 free samples even without purchasing anything

Check it out soon because this exhibition is only until September 22, 2024!
