Winter Essentials: My Cozy Companion Guide for the Chilly Season

Winter is upon us, bringing its unique blend of frosty mornings, crisp air, and the occasional snowflake dance. As we brace ourselves for this chilly season, it’s time to think about gearing up with those essential items that transform winter from a cold challenge into a cozy, enjoyable experience. Or at least keep you from being incredibly miserable from the cold. Whether you’re a snow-loving enthusiast or someone who counts the days until spring, having the right winter essentials can make all the difference. Here are some of my must-haves that I pack with me for my winter getaways:

Fleece Lined Leggings

One of my wardrobe staples be it for chilly nights so I can still feel stylish wear a cute skirt without freezing my ass off, or for layering in preparation for the snow!

Square Neck Fleece Lined Top

This fashionable square neck top comes in multiple colors (I personally have black, burgundy, and white) and is great not only for winter layering but is an outfit staple of mine since the colors are so basic I can dress it up/down however I want with different pants/slacks or jewelry for office or just casual wear. It’s usually pretty chilly where I live so it is an excellent almost all-year-round type of top for me.

Fleece Turtleneck Pack

For women

For men

These are the thermal base layer packs my parents and I had used during our winter trip to Banff and it kept us warm and well…not frozen!

Water Resistant Gloves (okay with touchscreen phones!)

I highly recommend packing a pair of gloves for those of you who have hands that turn to ice in 0.5 seconds! This pair is great for when you also want to use your phone, but can’t handle removing your gloves to use your touchscreen.

Earmuffs

This was probably more of a fashion choice for me since I think a good ole beanie would work just as good!

Merino Wool Socks

ALWAYS make sure you have a good pair of thermal socks on! I recommend Merino wool socks.

Waterproofing Spray for Shoes

When in doubt over how water proof your shoes actually are: SPRAY THEM DOWN. I routinely spray my footwear with these if it starts getting a bit rainy or if I know I am going somewhere with snow. And yes, these work just fine on ya Uggs.

Beanie/Scarf/Glove set

Cute, yet practical. I love my little pompom beanie– it’s such a hit when I go out! I always have people complimenting me on it.

Here’s a link for just the beanie.
