22 hours in TOKYO

Out here on yet ANOTHER solo trip because I love solo travel so much. I spent 22 hours in Tokyo for a layover on my way to Seoul and did my best to make the most of my time there! 2 of my 22 hours though were spent on a little airport fiasco at Haneda airport– make sure you read and follow the SIGNS THAT ARE CLEARLY POSTED. I accidentally went up to the connections instead of towards the baggage claim exit and it took 2 hours to even be let downstairs to baggage claim. But after I survived that headache, I had the best time! Here’s a quick view of everything I did during my short layover:

I pretty much did the most basic things one would do on a layover in Tokyo, Japan:

  • Dinner with an old friend from highschool
  • Quick Don Quijote stop for shopping
  • Spent the night in a tiny ass room
  • Had my FamilyMart conbini snacks
  • Tsukiji Outer Market – the famous fish market in Tokyo
  • Got my nails 💅🏻 done did
  • Checked out the Unicorn Gundam statue located in DiverCity Tokyo Plaza

The standout activity for my quick layover was getting JAPANESE GEL NAILS. Honestly of the many years of getting gel-x fills done every 2-3 weeks with designs, this set has to have been my all time favorite. The detail, the speed, the price, the quality?! A++ for all of it.

Special plug for the amazing Hana – https://www.instagram.com/hanna_nailwizard/! She is so incredibly talented, and English friendly! She spent a good number of years in LA as well and splits her time between LA and Tokyo.
